The Y

I finally found some down time from all the excitement of figuring out this university! I'm constantly reminded of how huge this place is and how busy I'm going to be in the very near future.
Moving in went well and fairly quickly. It is really cool to be in charge of my little space!
Btw, those are my textbooks next to the lamp on the bottom shelf.
I even fashioned a marker holder for my whiteboard out of plastic packaging material!
It works perfectly: curved base for ease of grabbing, flexible enough to take the impact from your hand, durable enough to stay in its place, easy enough to replace bad tape, and it doesn't damage the closet door in any way!
The New Student Orientation has been going on for the last few days and I've seen most of the campus. Some of the views and the structural architecture is astounding and I plan on getting a few more pics of the awesomeness!
Pictured here is the entryway to the new Cannon Dining Center.
Pictured here is the back of the Cannon Center:

Pictured here is the spiral staircase found in the Joseph F. Smith Building.
And here is the outside of the JFSB:

More recently, I tried out for BYU Mens Chorus and I've made it past the preliminary audition with the graduate student. Now I have to tackle an 8:30 AM audition with one of the directors.
Hope all is well for everyone! I can't guarantee the frequency of posts on this blog because I do not know how busy I'll be nor how often something worth posting will come my way.

Oh my gosh! I can't believe how much it's changed!!! It's gorgeous! That cafeteria is beautiful! It looked nothing like that when I was there. I would love to go back and visit to see how things have changed. Hope you're getting the hang of things and finding your way around campus okay. Keep us posted!
